Objective:

The Alumni Association wanted to increase the amount of students that signed up for their mailing list post-graduation. They found that students no longer used their college email address after graduation and the school could no longer contact them to solicit donations, inform them of alumni events, etc.

 

Solution:

Cutting Edge Promotions worked with the university alumni staff to launch a promotion where a free music download card would be handed out to each graduate along with their diploma. In order for the student to redeem the gift, they had to go to a custom branded website, which Cutting Edge Promotions designed, complete a short survey which the university created, and enter their email address, after which a coupon code would pop up.

 

Results:

The university saw a 67% increase in the number of students on the mailing list from the year prior.
